Mode of action:
Abamectin acts mainly by stomach poisoning and contact killing.
Abamectin can interfere with the neurophysiological activities of pests and stimulate the release of gamma-aminobutyric acid from the worms. Thereby blocking the transmission process of motor nerve information, causing the pests to quickly paralyze and refuse to eat. Inactive, not feeding, die within 24 to 48 hours.
Abamectin is composed of B1a and B1b. The insecticidal effect of B1a is far superior to that of B1b.
Target pests: red spider; beet armyworm, diamond back moth, cotton bollworm, rice leaf folder, striped rice borer; root knot nematodes etc.
Usage:
1. Abamectin has good effects on red spiders on citrus and other fruit trees as a acaricide. It is often compounded with spirodiclofen or etoxazole to control mites. It acts on adult mites, but no effect on eggs.
2. Excellent effect on lepidoptera pests
Abamectin is mainly used to fight rice leaf roller in rice. It is also combined with other insecticides such as chlorantraniliprole to control leaf roller.
3. Killing root knot nematodes
The effect of abamectin on the control of soil root-knot nematodes is also good. Finished product is in the form of granules, combined with fosthiazate.
