Product characteristic:
Pymetrozine is a pyridine or triazinone insecticide. It is a brand new non-biocidal insecticide. It was first developed by Ciba Cargill in 1988. It is a sucking mouth device for a variety of crops. The pests show excellent control effects.
Pymetrozine has a contact effect on pests and also has systemic activity. It can be transported in both xylem and phloem in plants; therefore it can be used both as a foliar spray and as a soil treatment. Due to its good transport properties, newly grown leaves and leaves can be effectively protected after spraying with stems and leaves.
Mode of action:
As soon as the aphids or plant hopper come into contact with pymetrozine, they almost immediately cause a needle blocking effect, stop feeding immediately, and eventually starve to death, and the process is irreversible.
Therefore, pymetrozine has an excellent function of blocking insect transmission. Although the mechanism of oral occlusion caused by pymetrozine is still unclear, studies have shown that this irreversible “stopping” is not caused by “antifeedant effect”.
